While Motorola is busy releasing the Android KitKat v4.4.4 update, Samsung has released a new update specifically for the Galaxy S5 users.
Samsung has started rolling out a performance enhancing update for the Samsung Galaxy S5. However this update is limited to the Exynos octa core version variants bearing model number G900H. Hence users in India and other regions will be receiving this update. The update, which is being rolled over-the-air (OTA), weighs in at 201.37 MB.
The special update being released to the Samsung Galaxy S5 powered by the Exynos processor has the same Android v4.4.2 KitKat version but a new baseband of XXU1AGN3. While the release mentions ‘improved performance’, details of the updates are not available. The update is also said to increase stability of the device. The update should be rolling out to users eventually. To check if the update has reached you, head over to the Settings menu and check the About menu.
