The Exynos powered variant of Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900H) is receiving the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update in India. The Exynos variant of Galaxy S5 was launched in March 2014 in India was running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.
According to a leaked Android Marshmallow update roadmap, the Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900H was supposed to receive the Marshmallow update in April, but somehow it got delayed. But, the good thing is that Samsung did roll out the Marshmallow update for this Exynos variant. However, the Snapdragon powered variant of Galaxy S5 has already received the Marshmallow update.
As can be expected, Marshmallow update will bring features like Google Now On Tap, Doze and App Permissions to the Galaxy S5. The update is being rolled out and should reach everyone. But, if you haven’t received it yet, you can check for it manually by going to Settings > About device > Software update.
