We had already seen the Samsung Galaxy S5 available in India for Rs. 45500. However, now that the company is set to launch the device in India tomorrow, a retailer claims that the pricing could be way higher.
According to Mahesh Telecom, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is supposed to be priced at Rs. 51500, which is comparatively higher than the price of the Galaxy S4 and contrary to the claims that the device would be priced almost similarly, if not cheaper. The handset is expected to be available for pre-orders from March 28 for an advance deposit of just Rs. 1500. As incentives, the company seems to have plans to offer 15 percent cash back on EMI using Citibank Credit Cards.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is scheduled to be launched in India tomorrow. While the company flagship does have a strong fan following in India, the 50K plus pricing may be a deterrent to many a buyers. With the Galaxy S4 currently priced below Rs. 30000, we can also expect massive price cuts in the next few weeks. Would you buy the Galaxy S5 by spending over half a lakh rupees? Do let us know.
