While the Galaxy S4 just received a massive price cut in India, the company has launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition in Europe for no apparent reason other than extending its line-up.
Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition bearing model number i9515 in the Netherlands. Surprisingly, the device is just the regular Galaxy S4 version (which is over an year old now) running the latest Android KitKat version, which again is redundant considering that Samsung has released KitKat updates for the regular Galaxy S4.
While we are questioning the very existence of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition, the company has priced the unlocked version of the handset at $542, which is shockingly higher than the regular device. It would be different story altogether, if we could at least see some upgrading in the hardware, but the device runs on the same old quad core Snapdragon 800 processor.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition specs:
- 5 inch display
- 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution
- 1.9 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor
- 2 GB RAM
- 16 GB RAM
- 13 MP primary camera
