While the competition in the affordable smartphone segment in India is rising exponentially, Samsung is apparently ready to roll out the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 in the country.
The Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3, which seems to be the company’s latest budget smartphone, is now available with retailers in India. The device, which is the successor to the Galaxy S Duos 2, has almost the same specs including a 4 inch display resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor with just 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 has a 5 MP rear facing auto focus camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing VGA camera. The device, unlike the previous versions, runs on the latest Android KitKat version with a 1500 mAh battery. The handset is apparently priced at Rs. 7999. Samsung is expected to officially announce the handset later this month. But considering the offerings from Motorola and Xiaomi, this seems to be a lost cause.
