Samsung is gearing up to launch the successor to Galaxy S Duos which is one of its popular low end device and its aptly named Galaxy S Duos 2. The pictures and specs of the device have just surfaced online at the official Samsung Bulgarian website.
Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 features a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display which is the same as the original Galaxy S Duos. It will come with a 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processor, 768 MB of RAM. There’s 4 gigs of internal storage along with the option to expand it thanks to the microSD card slot. It will have a 5 MP camera.with flash and a front facing 0.3 MP (VGA) camera. The device will come with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean along with the usual array of features which TouchWiz brings. A 1500 mAh battery powers the device.
That’s not all as we now know the price as well. An Indian retailer has listed the price of the Galaxy S Duos 2 at Rs 11,230 MRP and best buy price at Rs 10,990. The device should get official quite soon considering the stocks are already reaching the retailers.
The Galaxy S Duos 2 is priced quite well as opposed to the original Galaxy S Duos’ price at the start which was around Rs 15,000. The entry level smartphone segment is about to get interesting with the Moto G coming to India in January, the recently announced Lumia 525 and now the Galaxy S Duos 2. Personally for me, nothing beats the Moto G, which one do you prefer?
