While we saw quite a few entry-level smartphones from Indian handset makers, a new smartphone with even lower specs from Samsung was spotted in Vietnam.
The Samsung Galaxy Pocket 2, which a very basic entry-level smartphone, was listed online in Vietnam. The device has a very small 3.2 inch display with a mere resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The smartphone is powered by single core 1 GHz processor with just 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage which can however be expanded using microSD cards.
The Samsung Galaxy Pocket 2 is equipped with a rear facing 2 MP camera without flash. There is no front facing camera. The device runs on the latest Android KitKat and comes with dual SIM support. Samsung is expected to officially announce the device in the next few weeks but it may be limited to certain markets.
