The Samsung Galaxy On5 (2015) was launched in India last year, and now it seems that Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy On5 (2016) as well. While the Galaxy On7 (2016) was spotted on GFXBench last week, the On5 (2016) has been spotted on Geekbench.
The Galaxy On5 (2015) carried model number SM-G550, whereas, the device spotted on Geekbench carries model number SM-G570F. Hence, it’s very much possible that this is indeed the Galaxy On5 (2016).
Not much details are available on Geekbench listing, except the fact that the tested device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, is powered by a quad-core processor and has 2 GB RAM. The Galaxy On5 (2015) runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and has 1.5 GB RAM, hence, the bump in RAM on the On5 (2016) is appreciated.
The device scored 646 points in Geekbench’s single-core test and scored 2027 points in the multi-core test. We expect more details to leak out till the device is officially unveiled.
