More than a week ago, South Korean tech giant Samsung started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Galaxy Note8. However, the update was rolled out only in France at that time and there was no word on when exactly would Samsung roll it out in India. But Galaxy Note8 Indian users, your wait is over, as Samsung has finally started rolling out the Oreo update for Note8 in India.
The Android 8.0 Oreo update that’s being rolled out for the Galaxy Note8 in India weighs more than 1.4 GB in size, hence, it is advisable to download it over a Wi-Fi connection for better speed and to avoid incurring any extra charges on your mobile data.
That said, the update carries firmware version N950FXXU3CRC1, and, apart from upgrading the Note8 from Nougat to Oreo, it also updates the Android security patch level to March 1, 2018.
With that being said, as this an Oreo update, it brings along features like Picture-in-Picture Mode, Notification Snoozing, Autofill framework, and more to the Galaxy Note8. Moreover, it also updates Samsung Experience to Samsung Experience 9.0.
This Android 8.0 Oreo update for Galaxy Note8 is rolling out over-the-air, hence, it should take at least a week or so to reach all the units. However, if you don’t get update notification on your Note8 even after a week, then you can check for the update manually by heading over to the Settings > Software update menu.
