After a long wait, Samsung finally started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update last month for its 2017 flagships – the Galaxy S8 and S8+. However, the update did come along with its fair share of issues because of which it was pulled out with Samsung having to roll-out yet another update with a fix. But anyways though, Samsung has moved past that, and now, it is rolling out the Oreo update for yet another of its 2017 flagship – the Galaxy Note8.

Needless to say, as this is an Oreo update, it brings along features like Picture-in-Picture Mode, Notification Snoozing, Autofill framework, and more to the Galaxy Note8. However, it also bumps up the Samsung Experience version to Samsung Experience 9.0, and, also updates the security patch on this phablet to March 1, 2018.

This Oreo update carries version number N950FXXU3CRC1, but, it’s currently only rolling out in France. However, Samsung should roll-out the Oreo update for Galaxy Note8 in other regions soon.

A report that surfaced online last week said that Samsung would roll-out the Oreo update for Note8 on March 31, 2018, but, that information came from Samsung Turkey owned website, hence, it’s possible that Note8 owners in Turkey would receive the Oreo update around that time period.

Anyways though, there’s no word on when Samsung will roll-out the Oreo update for Note8 in India, but when it does, you can count on us to let you know.
