After unveiling the Galaxy Note7 last week, Samsung has launched the device in India today at an event held in New Delhi. The Galaxy Note7 is priced at ₹59,900 and comes with Iris Scanner which is the main highlight of the device.
The Galaxy Note7 launched in India is powered by Exynos 8890 SoC instead of Snapdragon 820. The Exynos 8890 is paired with 4 GB RAM and comes with 64 GB internal storage. Users can also expand the storage up to 256 GB if they want using a microSD card.
The device comes with a 12 MP Dual Pixel rear camera along with a 5 MP front camera. The Galaxy Note7 boasts off a 5.7-inch Quad-HD dual edge display which is kept on by a 3500 mAh battery. The device is covered with Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and at the back which will provide some protection to the device against falls.
The Galaxy Note7 is also the first Samsung device that features a USB Type-C port and the first Note device that is IP68 certified, making it dust and water resistant.

Besides launching the Galaxy Note7 today, Samsung has also launched the new Gear VR headset in India along with Gear Fit2 smartband and Gear IconX earbuds. The Gear VR headset is priced at ₹7290, whereas the Gear Fit2 comes with a price tag of ₹13,990 and the Gear IconX for ₹13,490.
The Galaxy Note7 will be available for purchase from 2nd September. However, those who pre-book the device between August 22-30 can get the new Gear VR headset for ₹1990 instead of ₹7290.
