With we nearing the launch of the much awaited Galaxy Note II from Samsung, rumours are flowing in quickly and this time one of them suggests that the next Galaxy Note will arrive with a flexible AMOLED display. The report comes in from Korea Times which has been accurate on a few occasions in the past and this time confirms that the flexible display will definitely be a 5.5 inch one.
We do know that Samsung is indeed working on Flexible display for a few years now but this flexible display in concern doesn’t mean that the whole phone will be bendable but it’ll be having a slight curve or some kind.
Also the AMOLED that will be arriving on the Galaxy Note II will be using an Unbreakable Plane (UBP) and plastic substrate which will result in reducing the thickness by about 0.4mm but this will eventually result in the 5.5 inch screen to accommodate a larger battery without making the device any thicker.
Samsung has planned an Unpacked event for August 29 where the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note II at IFA, Berlin.
