It has been ages since Samsung’s Phablet; the Galaxy Note owners have been waiting impatiently for the much awaited Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade from the current Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS but got no luck until today.
It seems that Samsung has started to quietly roll out the update in some regions worldwide and other regions will follow soon. But this update is only limited to the SIM-free and unlocked range of Notes.
The update is of a massive 318.8 MB in size and will bring in the latest Android OS with TouchWiz and ‘Premium Suite’ with apps like the New S-Note App, S Memo Widget, Shape Match and My Story to the phablet.
There is currently no official announcement from the Korean giant regarding the roll-out but it seems that Galaxy Note owners in European countries are indeed at the receiving end.
We still aren’t sure if Galaxy Note owners in India have started receiving the update or not but it should not take too long before the notification alert excites you all. Until then try to check for the update manually and also use the Kies software to check on this. If you get the notification, don’t forget to share it with us in the comments section below.
