While the Galaxy Grand 2 recently received the KitKat update, Samsung has started rolling out the update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo devices in India.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo has started receiving the Android KitKat v4.4 update in India. The update weighing 495 MB, upgrades the device from the current Android Jelly Bean to KitKat v4.4.2. The update is being rolled out in a phased manner and is available over-the-air (OTA) as well as through Kies. All the handsets are expected to get the update by the end of the month.
The Android v4.4.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 brings in a lot of improvement including the white status bar icons, lock screen Camera shortcut, full screen music album art in the lock screen besides improved UI. The update also adds support for wireless printing and support for emojis. There are also other performance improvements. Next in line for the update is the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and the Mega 6.3.
