The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2015) was launched in India last year with a price tag of ₹8490. It now seems that Samsung is gearing up to announce its successor, the Galaxy J2 (2016), in India. The press renders of Galaxy J2 (2016) have leaked online revealing what the device looks like.
There’s nothing much to the Galaxy J2 (2016) from design point of view, except the fact that it now has the Smart Glow notification ring at the back around the primary camera. Details about the Smart Glow notification feature were leaked in the past. This feature is supposed to bring complex notification features to the Galaxy smartphones.
The notification ring is essentially an LED ring which will light up to notify you of, well notifications. However, it will only be useful if you keep your phone upside down, otherwise, there may not be much use of this feature. But again, these are just leaked renders and nothing’s official as of now so it would be too early to jump to any conclusions.
If the Smart Glow feature is well received by the users, Samsung might equip its high end phones with this feature as well. Talking about the specifications of the Galaxy J2 (2016), the device has been spotted on AnTuTu and GFXBench back in May giving an idea of what to expect.
