A new Samsung entry-level smartphone dubbed the Samsung Galaxy J1 has leaked out. Alleged pictures of the device has leaked along with the specs of the device.
Samsung has recently started a new naming convention for its smartphones. Firstly, they launched the A-series and then E-series and now, the South Korean giant is all set to launch a new J-series. We can expect the J-series to cater to the low-end and the Galaxy J1 should be the first device in the line-up.
Reportedly, the Galaxy J1 (SM-J100) will come with a 4.3-inch WVGA (800x480p) display and it will be powered by a 64-bit 1.2 GHz Quad-core Marvell PXA1908 processor. The device will come with 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal storage and microSD exapansion and a 1850 mAh battery. The device will be running Android 4.4 KitKat. Other specs include 5 MP rear camera with flash and 2 MP front-facing camera, dual SIM with both 3G and 4G LTE versions.
The Samsung Galaxy J1 looks similar to the previous entry level devices we’ve seen from the company. The device will also incorporate some of the high-end software features like the Ultra Saving mode. The pictures show the date January 14, so we can expect an official reveal on January 14. As always, we’ll keep you updated.
