Just as expected, Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 in India today and is expected to succeed the very popular Galaxy Grand in 2014.
Samsung India has officially announced the successor to the Galaxy Grand, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 in India. The dual SIM smartphone is equipped with a 5.25 inch display with 720p resolution. The device, though maintains the design seen in the earlier version, has a leather-like premium back panel cover like the Galaxy Note 3.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor along with 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. The device has an 8 MP rear facing auto focus camera with LED flash and a 1.9 MP front facing camera. The handset runs on the Android 4.3 with a 2600 mAh battery and would be available in Black, White and Pink colours.
While the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is announced in India, its pricing hasn’t been revealed as yet. However Manu Sharma, Director Samsung Mobiles India, mentioned that the device would be priced between Rs. 22900 and Rs. 24900 and would be released into the market in January 2014. Meanwhile the handset is available for pre-booking on the Samsung online eStore for Rs. 2000.
