Samsung Galaxy Alpha aka the Samsung Galaxy F aka the S5 Prime has been in rumors since what seems like an eternity now. We have had several leaks of the device and today, we have live pictures of the Galaxy Alpha.
The new Galaxy Alpha pictures come courtesy of two sources, SamMobile and Vietnamese website Tihnte. There have been contradictory reports on whether the Galaxy Alpha will feature a 5.2-inch or 4.7-inch display. Well, if the pictures are to be believed, a 4.7-inch display is what it packs. The device is seen next to the Galaxy S5 and it seems noticeably smaller.
The device seems to feature a metallic frame but the back features the same perforated design we’ve seen on a plethora of Samsung devices. The device does seem to resemble the Galaxy S2, which isn’t really a bad thing. The display should be of 1080p resolution or Quad HD (2560x1440p) but QHD on a 4.7-inch display would be a little too much, no?
Other specs are said to be 32 GB of non-expandable storage and fingerprint scanner. From the looks of it, the device could be Samsung’s answer to the iPhone 6, which is all but confirmed to be coming with a 4.7-inch display. Reportedly, Samsung plans on launching the Galaxy Alpha in August. Well, we’ll keep you posted.
