With the success of the new metal-body Galaxy A series, Samsung had recently launched the Samsung Galaxy A8 in India at Rs. 32500. We got our hands on the device and here is our first impression of the handset.
The Samsung Galaxy A8, like the other smartphones in the series, flaunts a premium full metal unibody design. While it looks quite similar to the Galaxy A7, it is quite thinner than it making it very easy to hold it.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 has a massive 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has very minimal side bezels making the device very compact and easy to hold.
The front of the Samsung Galaxy A8 has the 5 MP front facing camera along with the proximity and ambient light sensor on the top.
The bottom has the physical home button which also has a fingerprint scanner embedded inside it. Also present are two capacitive touch buttons. The bottom edge has the Micro USB port and the 3.5mm audio jack.
The Power button is on the right edge. The left edge has the volume rocker and the dual hybrid SIM card slots.
The back panel which has a very shiny finish has the 16 MP camera at the top center with the LED flash and speaker on either sides.
