The Samsung Galaxy A8 was launched in India last year with a price tag of ₹32,500. It was launched with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop running out of the box. However, if you happen to be an A8 owner and have been waiting for Android Marshmallow update, your wait is over. Samsung has started rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Galaxy A8 in India.
The update is more than 1 GB in size so we suggest you download it over a Wi-Fi connection. Being a Marshmallow update, it brings all the Marshmallow goodness to the Galaxy A8 with features like Google Now On Tap, Doze, App Permissions, etc. Advanced power modes have been added as well for extended battery life.
This update also brings new TouchWiz UI to the Galaxy A8. The update is being rolled out over the air so it might take a little for it to reach your device. However, if you can’t wait to update your Galaxy A8 to Marshmallow, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings > About device > Software update.
