With the Android devices dominating the smartphone ecosystem globally, Samsung seems to be taking the major share of devices in the market.
According to recent market analysis, Samsung accounts for nearly 63 percent of all the Android devices sold globally. Even the combined contribution of HTC, LG, Sony and Motorola doesn’t stand a chance against the company market share. Literally for every two Samsung devices sold, just one other Android device is sold.
Further, even in the top ten best-selling Android devices, Samsung occupies a massive eight slots, especially with its Galaxy S line of devices. The Samsung Galaxy S III has the lead with 15.1 percent market share and the recent flagship Galaxy S4 following soon after with 7.4 percent market share. Amongst other devices in the top ten is the HTC One and the Motorola Droid Razr.
