Samsung has been ruling the Android market with its Galaxy range of smartphones and the Galaxy S Series has contributed largely to Samsung’s success. And now, Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S, the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy S III have together crossed the 100 million smartphones sold (supply) globally.
The Samsung Galaxy S smartphone was first launched in May 2012 and since then Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy S III smartphones.
It took the Galaxy S Series about 2 years and 7 months to reach the 100 million sales mark and 25 million Galaxy S smartphones contributed to the number. Back in June last year, Samsung had sold about 50 million units of the the Galaxy S and Galaxy S II smartphones sold worldwide.
In September, Samsung announced 20 million units of the Galaxy S III smartphone which was launched in May 2012 were sold and in November the company announced that 30 million units of the device were sold which was 5 months after the release of the smartphone.
