Flappy Bird was a crazy success when it was released and when it was taken down, there were a number of clones to cash in on its popularity. Now, Rovio, the popular game maker has brought about its very own Flappy Bird killer. Rovio has released a new game dubbed Retry on iOS to take on Flappy Bird.
The game has been released by Rovio’s new publishing arm“Rovio LVL 11″. It is inspired by Flappy Birds but as you can see in the trailer below, it’s much more. The game features Flappy Bird like gameplay enwrapped in 8-bit graphics and synthesizer music. You will have a monoplane to move forward and collect coins.
The description on the app store says, “From the guys sitting in the room next to the guys who made Angry Birds, comes RETRY – a game so hard, so addictive, so old school that you’ll think you’ve stepped into an 8-bit time machine and gone back to 1986. Totally rad!”
Sadly, Retry is only available in select countries as of now but Rovio promises to widen availability soon. The game is available on the App Store in Canada, Finland, and Poland right now. If you live in one of these countries, get the game from the link below and tell us how you like it.
