Reliance Industries Limited which was testing its 4G LTE networks since December last year, is now putting in more efforts to upgrade its services in India. Not only is the company working on providing better 4G services but also affordable 4G enabled handsets.
As per reports, Reliance Industries (RIL) has signed a deal with Samsung Mobile to introduce budget 4G LTE devices in India. With the agreement standing, Reliance plans on rolling out 4G LTE devices for as low as Rs. 5500. These device would be seen in Indian markets by mid-2013.
The 4G LTE handsets would be bundled with data packages to help customers in their transition to 4G services. Besides the budget handsets, Reliance would also launch some high-end phones in this category in later this year.
Considering the operators moving up to 4G, not only will it offer high-speed data at low costs but even 3G prices are most likely to drop and eventually 2G networks would get phased out.
