With the telecom sector booming, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is all set to release 4G services in the country in a phased manner.
Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has announced that it is set to rollout 4G services in India in a phased manner in 2015. In the meanwhile the company is expected to begin expanded trials in various cities later in August which will continue throughout the year. Also the company plans on increasing the number of towers to service their upcoming customers.
Reliance Jio was expected to rollout 4G services by the end of this year. However, due to regulations and permissions the process has been delayed. As per the current plans, the operator would roll out the 4G services in 5000 towns and cities and in over 215000 villages, thus cover both the urban as well as rural parts of the country.
