While we are eagerly awaiting the commercial rollout of Reliance Jio’s 4G services in India, the operator seems to be inching closer to the much delayed launch.
Reliance Jio has apparently rolled out a referral program allowing its employees to recruit friends and family onto the network. The program, which is strictly invite-only, requires Reliance employees to send users a unique code. Users then need to present the code at any Reliance Digital or Digital Express store. Users would also have to purchase a 4G VoLTE LYF branded handset to avail the connection.
The Reliance Jio referral program offers the invited users 10 GB of free voice and data benefits for a period of three months. Further, users can avail unlimited access to the Digital Life package, which includes voice calls, HD video, high speed data, and SMS for 90 days. The bundle also provides access to eight premium applications – which provide live TV, movies, TV shows, magazines, newspapers, news, and cloud storage. The offer also comes with coupons worth Rs. 15000 in JioMoney.
While everyone is eager to try out the much hyped Reliance Jio 4G services, the compulsion to purchase a LYF smartphone is a huge deal breaker. The LYF smartphones are priced starting at Rs. 5499 and are available at all Reliance Digital stores and online. We are expecting an official announcement from the company in the next few days.
