Reliance Communication has joined hands with India’s biggest bank, State Bank of India and has launched Mobile Banking Service for its subscribers. Subscribers can avail facilities like balance inquiry, mini statement, fund transfer, cheque book issuance, mobile recharge and bill payment using their cell phones.
To use the Mobile Banking Service, subscribers only require an active current or savings account with SBI. They have to register for the services with SBI and then have to dial *595# to view simple menu choices and key-in their choice. Subscribers will be able to view account balance, get mini statements, do Fund Transfer, change MPIN or recharge their mobile account.

Mobile Banking has been successfully running in the country but hasn’t shown a big response. Do you think Mobile Banking Services have a better future in the country?
