While not everyone is comfortable with using the online office tools for Android provided by Google, the company has now made the QuickOffice app free to use.
The QuickOffice app, which was currently free only to the Google Apps customers, has now been made free to all Android users. The app is also available for the iOS users. The QuickOffice app, which was acquired by Google last year, can be used as a viewer and editor for documents and spreadsheets. However the app only works with files stored in the Google Drive.
Also users who are currently using the QuickOffice Pro or QuickOffice HD will have to download and start using the new QuickOffice. The app can be used to view PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets and can also be used to make ZIP folders. The QuickOffice app can be downloaded for free from Google Play. Users who download the app by September 26 will get an additional 10 GB of free Drive storage for two years.
