Microsoft’s Panos Panay, the General Manager of Microsoft Surface has today announced that the second tablet from the Redmond based giant, Surface Pro running on Windows 8 Pro OS will be available starting January 2013.
Panay has along with the availability also announced the much awaited pricing of the Surface Pro and the tablet is not going to be that cheap.
Microsoft has decided to make the Surface Pro available in two storage option – 64 GB and 128 GB of on-board storage. The 64 GB standalone version will be available for $899, while the 128 GB standalone version has been priced just $100 more at $999.
Both versions will include a ‘Surface Pen’ with Palm Block technology and arrive with the ability to use a Touch Cover or Type Cover (which will be sold separately).
The Surface Pro tablet will come packed with the following specifcations:

Microsoft is yet to announce the exact date when the Surface Pro will hit the shelves but it might happen anytime in January 2013.
