Back in September, alongside the official launch of the Galaxy Note II in India Samsung had announced that the Korean giant is bringing its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running Galaxy Camera to India.
The company had then announced that the 16-MP CMOS Android OS running Camera will be launched near Diwali and today the device has landed on the Samsung’s eStore for Pre-Orders.
The point and shoot Galaxy Camera arrives with a 4.8 inch HD Super Clear Touch Display, is powered by a powerful 1.4 GHz Quad-core processor, an effective 16.3 MP 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS sensor and packs in F2.8, 23 mm and 21x Optical Zoom Lens.
The Galaxy Camera arrives not only with Wi-Fi but also 3G connectivity on-board which will enable users to enjoy fast upload of pictures they click and even download Android apps directly from the Google Play Store & Samsung Apps.
Internal memory of the Galaxy Camera is pegged at 8 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB via memory card slot. But running out of space should not be much of a concern, thanks to the Galaxy Camera’s Auto Cloud Backup option.
Samsung has not yet announced the price of the Galaxy Camera but interested buyers can pay Rs.3000 and pre-order the device from themselves over the Samsung eStore. The device will be available in both, Black and White colour options in India and all users who pre-book the camera will also be getting free 16 GB microSD.
