LG and Prada today renewed their exclusive mobile phone partnership, which began in 2006, and are developing their 3rd device – PRADA phone by LG 3.0, which will be launched in early 2012.
The collaboration focuses on key elements within the smartphone, including software and user interface down to its design and packaging.
The earlier 2 phones which were launched in 2007 and 2008 were LG KE850 Prada and LG KF900 Prada respectively. LG managed to sell over 1 million units of LG KE850 Prada and as evidence of its place in design history, this device is a part of the permanent collection in New York City’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Shanghai.
