When we hear about Polaroid, the first thing that comes to your mind is “Camera” and definitely not tablets, but it seems that the company has finally decided to take a new road and has announced the launch of a 7-inch tablet of its own at the ongoing CES 2013 called the Polaroid M7.
The Polaroid M7 arrives with looks similar to the Nexus 7 and specifications are decent enough too, given the fact that the tablet has been priced at just $129.
Polaroid has packed in a 7-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels which gives us a PPI of 216. The tablet is powered by a dual-core processor, make and model of which hasn’t been mentioned by the company nor are there any details on the RAM included in the tablet.
The Polaroid M7 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box and carries a 2 MP camera on the front. The on-board internal storage is pegged at 8 GB which can be further expanded using a microSD card.
Polaroid has fearlessly compared the M7 to the hot-selling Apple iPad Mini which arrives with almost similar specifications but is priced at $329 whereas Polaroid has priced the tablet at just $129 which is going to be a perfect competitor to the iPad Mini, Nexus 7 and also the Acer Iconia B1 which was launched at CES a couple of days back too.

Polaroid aims at making the M7 available in Spring 2013 alongside the larger M10 for prospective buyers.
