While the Indian handset makers are trying hard to compete with offerings like the Moto E, Philips Mobile has entered the Indian smartphone market with three new smartphones and even a feature phone.
Philips Mobile has announced its entry into the Indian smartphone market with the launch of the Philips S308, the Philips W3500 and the Philips W6610 Android-powered smartphones. The Philips S308 is the entry-level offering with a 4 inch display whereas the W3500 and the W6610 have a 5 inch display.
Both the Philips W3500 and the W6610 are powered by a quad core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3 GHz while the Philips S308 has a 1.2 GHz dual core processor. All the three device run on the Android Jelly Bean. The Philips W6610 has an exceptionally large 5300 mAh battery which is said to offer 33 hours of talk time.
The Philips S308 is priced at Rs. 8290, the Philips W3500 at Rs. 16165 and the Philips W6610 at Rs. 20650. The company also launched a feature phone, the Philips E310 with dual SIM support and a torchlight. The phone is priced at just Rs. 1960.
