While we have been seeing some good high-end smartphones recently, Philips has launched its flagship – the Philips i966 Aurora.
Philips has announced the launch of the Philips i966 Aurora, which is the company’s latest flagship smartphone. The device has a 5.5 inch display with 2.5D arc glass, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and super high resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the superfast quad core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz along with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
The Philips i966 Aurora has a 20.7 MP rear facing auto focus camera with Sony IMX220 Exmor RS sensor, 6-element lens, f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. There is also a front facing 8 MP camera. The device runs on the company’s proprietary YunOS 3.0 which is based on Android with a 3000 mAh battery. The handset is priced at 3699 Yuan (approx. Rs. 37000) and is currently exclusively available in China.
