While we had heard reports about Pepsi working on its own smartphone offering, the company has now officially announced the handset – the Pepsi Phone P1.
Pepsi, the popular aerated drinks maker has announced the launch of the Pepsi Phone P1, which is the company’s first smartphone with an aluminium unibody design and fingerprint scanner on the back. The device has a 5.5 inch IPS 2.5D curved glass display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa core MediaTek processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The Pepsi Phone P1 has a 13 MP rear facing auto focus camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Lollipop version with a massive 3000 mAh battery. The handset is priced at $110 (approx. Rs. 7000) and is available in Blue, Gold and Silver colour options.
