While we were looking out for the Snapdragon 805 processor at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress, we only got to see the Snapdragon 801 processor. However, sources believe that the first device powered by the former is coming out soon.
According to sources in know, the Pantech Vega Iron 2 could be the first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 805 processor. While the timeline of the CPU is not very clear, sources believe that this device could come as soon as May 2014. The processor has quad core architecture with four Krait 450 CPU cores clocked at 2.5 GHz.
The Pantech Vega Iron 2 is said to have a 5.5 inch display with full HD resolution. Expected on board is 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB and 64 GB variants of internal storage. The device is said to be equipped with a 13 MP rear facing camera and a 3 MP front facing camera. The smartphone could use the latest Android version as well.
