We were all excited about the Pantech Vega Iron 2 because rumours suggested that it would be the first smartphone to be powered by the superfast Snapdragon 805 processor. Now the device is officially announced sans the processor.
Pantech has announced the launch of the Pantech Vega Iron 2 in South Korea. The device flaunts a 5.3 inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1920 x 1080. The smartphone is powered by the quad core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, just like most of the other flagship devices. Also on-board is Adreno 330 GPU with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
The Pantech Vega Iron 2 is equipped with a 13 MP rear facing camera with the new Wide Optical Image Stabilization technology. There is also a front facing 2.1 MP camera. The phone runs on the latest Android KitKat version. The device is expected to go on sale later this month. Now we may have to wait for the LG G3 to see the Snapdragon 805 processor.
