While the 20 inch Panasonic Toughpad 4K is expected next month, the company has unveiled a similar tablet at the CES 2014 – the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-M1.
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-M1 is protected by a thick rugged magnesium alloy chassis, which protects the device from drops of up to five feet. The tablet is IP 65 and MIL-STD-810G certified and is highly resistant to liquids. The device has a 7 inch bright and sensitive touch display which can be used comfortably in bight daylight and with gloves.
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-M1 is powered by the fourth gen Intel Core i5 vPro processor along with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB internal storage on the built-in SSD. There is also a dedicated NVidia GeForce GT745M GPU. The device runs on the recently released Windows 8.1 Pro. The tablet, which is expected to be released in spring of 2014, is priced at around $2100.
