With the increasing demand for smartphones with fingerprint scanners in India, Panasonic has now launched the Panasonic Eluga Mark in the country.
Panasonic has announced the launch of the Panasonic Eluga Mark, which is the company’s latest 4G-enabled smartphone with a fingerprint scanner that allows single touch access. The device has a 5.5 inch IPS display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The Panasonic Eluga Mark has a 13 MP rear facing auto focus camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Lollipop version with a 2500 mAh battery. The phone has dual SIM support with 4G connectivity. The handset is priced at Rs. 11990 and is available in Royal Gold and Metallic Grey colour options.
Speaking about the Panasonic Eluga Mark, Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, “With the growing use of smartphones for a wider range of high-risk activities such as access to cloud data and private information, mobile security is a top priority for users. This control-sensitive device, which achieves complex tasks with the press of a finger or a swipe of the thumb, is personalized for the user and protects the smartphone investment. We are approaching an end of the year which brings our portfolio for 2015 to a total of 16 new devices launch with a few more to come. In 2016 we would be focusing on “Make in India” and 4G enabled devices by targeting international markets and regions.”
