Everything is connected to smartphones nowadays, but even in your wildest fantasies you wouldn’t have thought about a smartphone toothbrush. Well, Oral-B, the leading toothbrush brand in the world, is out to change that perception. The Oral-B smartphone toothbrush will use Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to a smartphone app which will be programmed ‘with help from a dentist’.
Michael Cohen-Dumani, global associate director for Oral-B, stated,”The app provides real-time guidance. Dentists always tell us: People do a great job in the week before they come to visit us and in the week after they visit us. But nothing can hide the fact that when we look inside the mouth we can see all the areas they miss.”

Oral-B has been trying to make some smart devices since long, but this is the first time that a concise idea is taking shape. The company claims that the Oral-B smartphone toothbrush increased average brushing time from 1 minute to 2 minutes 16 seconds. The device will debut in European markets in June for a price of $330.
