After multiple leaks and rumours, the camera-centric Oppo R9 and the Oppo R9 Plus are finally official.
Oppo has announced the launch of the Oppo R9 and the Oppo R9 Plus, which are the company’s camera-centric smartphone offerings with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. The Oppo R9 has a 5.5 inch display whereas the Oppo R9 Plus has a 6 inch display. Both the phones employ an AMOLED panel with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The Oppo R9 is powered by the octa core MediaTek Helio P10 processor whereas the Oppo R9 Plus is powered by the octa core Snapdragon 652 processor. Both the smartphone flaunt a 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
Both the Oppo R9 and the Oppo R9 Plus have a massive 16 MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 78.1-degree wide-angle. The Oppo R9 has a 13 MP rear facing camera while the Oppo R9 Plus has a 16 MP rear facing camera. The devices runs on the Android Lollipop version. The handsets are available in Rose Gold and Golden colour options and will go on sale later this month. Details about the global rollout are not yet available.
