Oppo has just launched its brand new mid-range smartphone, the Oppo R1C. Previous reports had suggested that the company will launch the Oppo R1C on January 14 and the reports were spot on.
The Oppo R1C has a beautiful exterior, thanks to a sapphire crystal back and it surely looks beautiful. The 6.85 mm thin frame surely adds to the looks. The device comes in a sapphire version as well as a white version.
The Oppo R1C comes with a 5-inch HD (1280x720p) display and it’s powered by the 64-bit 1.5 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2 GB RAM. There’s 16 GB internal storage with microSD expansion up to 128 GB. On the camera front, it features a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing camera.
Android 4.4 KitKat runs the show along with Oppo’s Color OS 2.0.1 and a 2420 mAh battery powers the device. The connectivity is well covered with 4G LTE connectivity and dual SIM support.
The Oppo R1C goes on sale in China starting January 20 and it’s priced at 2,499 RMB (~ $403). The company hasn’t announced any plans to bring the device globally.
