While Oppo, along with a few other Chinese manufacturers, is trying to penetrate into India’s smartphone market, the company has launched a new smartphone in the country – the Oppo R1.
The Oppo R1 is known for the powerful 8 MP camera. The camera has a wide aperture of F/2.0, which is even lower than Nokia Lumia 1020’s F/2.2 aperture, making it even better for photography in low light conditions. The device has a 5 inch display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection and 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, which results in pixel density of 294 ppi.
The Oppo R1 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor along with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. However there is no microSD card slot. The device runs on the company’s Colour OS, which is based on Android Jelly Bean v4.2.2. The handset is priced at Rs. 26990 and is available in Black colour.
