Oppo just unveiled the mid-range R3 smartphone and along with that they have also unveiled the Oppo N1 mini. As the name suggests, the Oppo N1 mini is the compact variant of the popular Oppo N1.
Oppo revealed the N1 mini last month, so we are already acquainted with it. The Oppo N1 mini is not really a ‘mini’. It comes with a 5-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS display and it is powered by a 1.6 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and Adreno 30 GPU with 2 GB RAM. The device comes with 16 GB internal storage and there’s no mention of a microSD slot.
The camera on the N1 mini is the same 13 MP swivel rotating camera with 1/3.2″ Sony IMX214 stacked sensor, 6-element lens, f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash. The Oppo N1 mini features a metal frame and the material used for the back is the same as the N1. The device weighs just 150 grams, Oppo says to have reduced the weight and the size of the camera module.
The Oppo N1 mini runs on Color OS 1.4 on top of Android. There’s a 2140 mAh battery that makes sure device is up and running. On the connectivity front, there’s 4G LTE connectivity. Along with that, there’s the usual 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The Oppo N1 mini will come in cool Yellow and Blue variants along with the usual Black and White. It is priced at 2699 Chinese Yuan (~Rs. 25,670) and it will go on sale in China starting next week.
