Oppo has released the first version of Project Spectrum for its Find 7 flagship device. The Project Spectrum ROM is based on the stock version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware.
Although the Project Spectrum ROM is based on the stock version of Android Lollipop, Oppo has taken some cue from its proprietary ColorOS. So you might feel as if you are using a Nexus or some Motorola device, but it does have some added features coming along.
Screen-off Gestures, ColorOS Camera and MaxxAudio are some of the features that are added in Project Spectrum. The screen-off gestures allow you to double tap on the screen to wake up the phone, or, open the camera app by drawing a circle. With the ColorOS Camera, Oppo has added some new plugins such as Beautify, Filters, HDR, GIF, Double Exposure and Expert Mode. The company will add more plugins in the future. Talking about MaxxAudio, it is essentially a sound customization feature.
For now, the Project Spectrum is only available for its Find 7 flagship, but it will be made available for other devices as well in the future.
