Chinese smartphone brand Vivo is reportedly launching the Vivo V9 in India on March 27. While Vivo is yet to share any details of this smartphone, live images that have leaked online reveal that this phone will come with iPhone X-like notch up top. Well, Vivo’s sibling OPPO (both are owned by BBK Electronics) is going to launch the OPPO F7 in India, and, not-so-surprisingly, it too will be featuring a notch.

In a tweet, OPPO India announced that it’s going to launch the OPPO F7 in India on March 26 with an “awesome notch screen”. The company has also roped in popular Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya as the ambassador for the OPPO F7 in the country.
The OPPO F7 will be successor to the OPPO F5 that was launched in India just last November. The OPPO F5 came with a full-screen display, but, it did not have a notch like the OPPO F7. Also, while OPPO hasn’t shared any details about the F7 yet, a report by The Economic Times says that this phone will come with a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ display and have a screen-to-body ratio of 89.09%.
Like majority of OPPO smartphones, last year’s OPPO F5 was a selfie-centric smartphone that came with a 20 MP front camera, but, the OPPO F7 is said to come with a 25 MP selfie camera.
Moreover, The Economic Times also says that the F7 will feature an enhanced beauty mode, improved real-time HDR, and, AR stickers.
Well, like we have already said in some of our recent articles, 2018 is going to be a year full of smartphones with iPhone X-like notches, and probably Animoji rip-offs. Hence, if you don’t like the notch, chances are you will probably be short on choices when buying a smartphone in the coming months.
