After launching the OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G in June, OPPO India has introduced its next F27 Series smartphone – the OPPO F27 5G featuring a 120 Hz AMOLED screen with 2,100 nits peak brightness, 7.67mm ultra-slim design, IP64 certified + AGC DT-Star2 glass protection + Armor body, 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, 50 MP Omnivision OV50D camera, 32 MP Sony IMX615 selfie camera, Halo Light on camera, 5,000 mAh that supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, and is backed with AI features.

Unlike the sibling, OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G which is India’s first smartphone with IP69, IP68, and IP66 water-proof ratings, the OPPO F27 5G doesn’t offer any extra protection aside from the IP64 dust and water-resistant and AGC DT-Star2 glass protection on the front. The F27 Pro+ 5G, on the other hand, offers top-tier protection against dust, water, and high-pressure water jets.
Additionally, it boasts Military Grade Durability with a MIL-STD-810H damage-proof 360° armor body and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for enhanced display protection. On the flip side, the OPPO F27 5G does have a proprietary Armour Body certification (Amber Orange only), however, it is not the MIL-STD-810H you see on its upper-end sibling. It uses a 5-star SGS Performance Multi-Scene Protection in addition to its IP64 dust and water-resistant rating.
The OPPO F27 5G uses a matte-finish back design – available in Amber Orange with a flickering flame texture and Emerald Green with a curved light column effect. It’s ultra-slim with just 7.69mm thickness (Emerald Green) while the Amber Orange is slightly thicker (7.76 mm) comparatively. The front side sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), 120 Hz refresh rate, 2,100 nits peak brightness, and AGC DT-Star2 protection. The F27 Pro+ 5G uses a 120 Hz 3D curved AMOLED with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 instead.
The back side offers a circular camera module with a Halo Light effect that glows on incoming calls, notifications, charging, music, and more. The rear side has a 50 MP primary camera utilizing the OmniVision OV50D sensor along with a 2 MP portrait camera using the Omnivision OV02B1B sensor while the front sports a 32 MP Sony IMX615 selfie shooter.
For the sides, you can see the bottom has a USB Type-C port, a loudspeaker, a microphone, and a dual SIM tray while the top side has the second microphone, and another loudspeaker making it stereo. The right side has a power key and volume controls, while the fingerprint scanner is under the display, thanks to the AMOLED panel.
The smartphone is also backed with AI features including AI Eraser 2.0, AI Smart Image Matting 2.0, and AI Studio. The AI Toolbox, powered by Google Gemini LLM, offers AI Writer for quick content creation, AI Summary for text condensation, and AI Speak for text-to-speech conversion, accessible via a convenient sidebar.
Moving to the internals, the OPPO F27 5G is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core SoC clocked up to 2.4 GHz with ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM with either 128 GB UFS 2.2 or 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage. The phone is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging and runs on Android 14 with ColorOS 14 interface.
