While the Opera Browser is quite known on the Android platform, the company has released the new version of the Opera Coast browser for iPhone and iPad.
Opera Software has announced the launch of version 3.0 of its Coast Browser for iPhone after initially launching it exclusively for iPad. The app is known for its gesture-based user interface. The new update also has new features including discovering popular sites, Automatic home screen tiles, sync using iCloud and even new wallpapers.
The Opera Coast browser for iPhone isn’t just the scaled down version of the iPad browser but is re-thought so that every pixel, every image placement makes perfect sense for the iPhone. The browser uses gestures to take care of every navigation requirement, besides two other buttons, so that everything is within a thumbs reach. You can download the app from the Apple App Store.
Speaking about the app, Huib Kleinhout, Product Manager, Opera Coast project at Opera Software, said, “Like everyone who owns an iPhone, I’ve often picked it up when waiting for something or someone. I was never quite happy with how apps and browsers kind of got in the way of the content. With Opera Coast, we have made content the main star of the show, letting the browser app itself get out of the way when you just want to kill some time. It’s the way the web was meant to be enjoyed.”
