OnePlus X was officially launched last month with the company saying that it will be offered in two versions, Onyx and Ceramic. Onyx is essentially the glass variant of the phone which can be purchased right now for ₹16,999 if you have the invite.
At the time of launch, the company also said that the Ceramic version would be a limited edition priced at ₹22,999, with only 10,000 units manufactured. OnePlus has now announced that the OnePlus X Ceramic Limited Edition will now be available from November 24. Going by OnePlus’s habit, the ceramic version won’t be available for purchase without an invite.
There’s no difference between the Onyx and Ceramic versions other than the materials used to build them. Both the versions will be powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. It boasts off a 5-inch Full-HD display. It consists of 16GB internal storage, whereas the external storage can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
Photography on the OnePlus X is taken care by 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera, with the ability to record videos at a resolution of 1080p, whereas the slow motion videos can be recorded in 720p resolution at 120fps. It runs on Oxygen OS out of the box which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Juicing up the device is a 2525mAh Li-Poly battery.
So, will you be buying the OnePlus X Ceramic Limited Edition after it’s available? Or are you happy with the Onyx version of the OnePlus X?
