While we have been hearing updates of Android Marshmallow timelines from major handset makers, OnePlus has now revealed its update plans.
OnePlus has promised the latest Android v6.0 Marshmallow update for it smartphone line-up, with its flagships set to receive the updates in the first quarter of 2016. The company revealed that both the OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2 are expected to receive the update in Q1, 2016 but couldn’t set a specific release date.
Interestingly, the company also revealed that they are working on the Android v6.0 Marshmallow update for the recently launched budget OnePlus X but couldn’t set a timeframe for the release, which means only the flagships would be getting the update initially. We might have to wait for another few months till the update is out.
